A St Louis native, Matt’s deep roots in the community have played a significant role in shaping the people-first philosophy that defines Mach Private Risk Management today.

Matt’s passion for helping others and his natural leadership ability is evident in both his professional achievements and personal endeavors.

A graduate of MICDS and Saint Louis University, Matt’s interests include the local St Louis sports scene, golf, and spending time with his wife, Katya, and their three sons, Hudson, Hunter, and Caden.

Ben is our Senior Private Client Account Manager, leveraging over a decade of expertise in account management and property and casualty insurance.

Having recently earned the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor (CPRIA) certification, Ben is committed to offering exceptional service grounded in trust, integrity, and professionalism.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Ben now calls Saint Louis home and enjoys spending free time with his husband and their furry companion, Maple. You won’t find Ben on the links, but you will see him hitting dinks on the pickleball court. When he’s not on the court, Ben loves exploring new restaurants in the city, and is always on the hunt for the next great spot.

Makayla started her career with Chubb Insurance, gaining knowledge within the ever-changing insurance marketplace.

In 2021 she joined Mach Private Risk Management, combining her professional expertise with a passion for helping others to secure their futures. She loves the challenge of navigating complex policies and finding solutions that offer peace of mind and protection for her client families.

Outside of work, she and her husband Tyler are avid football fans, live-music aficionados, and enjoy gaming. They also take pleasure in spending time with their fur baby, Delaney, who brings joy and warmth to their everyday life.

Peyton is passionate about helping successful families navigate through the complex world of insurance. He draws on his experience as a high-value property underwriter at PURE to offer expert guidance.

A native of St. Louis, Peyton is a proud graduate of MICDS. He studied Finance at the University of Missouri-Columbia and holds several industry degrees, most notably the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Peyton is also a Private Risk Management Association member, a community of high-level risk management professionals.

Outside of work, Peyton enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their Vizsla, Maple. He is an avid golfer and a devoted fan of the Missouri Tigers.

With a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University, Sommer combines a deep understanding of human behavior with a passion for helping clients navigate complex risk environments.

After making St. Louis her home, Sommer quickly became an integral part of the team, known for her positive outlook, attention to detail, proactive approach, and dedication to exceptional service.

Sommer is deeply invested in the community, having volunteered with organizations such as Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Youth Mental Health. Whether cheering on the Green Bay Packers, exploring new areas, or enjoying time with her dachshund, Millie, Sommer brings enthusiasm and energy to everything she does, both personally and professionally.

With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Saint Louis University, Emma combines a strong understanding of global markets and individuals with a passion for building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional client experiences.

As a proud St. Louis native, she is excited to kick off her career with the team, learning from experienced colleagues and supporting clients with professionalism, curiosity, and care. She looks forward to growing her expertise and contributing to the company’s commitment to exceptional service.

In her free time, Emma enjoys hiking, traveling the world, reading good books, and exploring and understanding new cultures. She is actively involved in the community, volunteering with organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and CARE STL Adoption Center. When she’s not out adventuring, she loves spending time with friends, family, and her dachshund-chihuahua mix, Sunny—often spotted joining her for walks in the park.
